Foot treatments for all walks of life

Podiatrists deal with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the lower limb and foot.  They are qualified to treat people with arthritis, diabetes and sports injuries and are able to undertake nail surgery, the training is extensive.

There is no difference between a Podiatrist and Chiropodist. But, “Podiatrist and Podiatry” are legally protected titles and are only able to be used by people who have undertaken the full (now a BSc degree) training course.

They are the terms used by the rest of the English speaking world. Our country has now joined them in using these titles www.scpod.org and www.hcp-uk.org.

Nail Surgery

Elisabeth is very experienced in performing toenail surgery at the clinic.

She performs partial or total nail avulsions using phenolisation of the nail root to prevent re-growth of the problem nail. All procedures are performed under local anesthetic.

Cosmetic appearance and resolution of pain are of utmost importance to Elisabeth when she undertakes this operation.
